Itinerary 2015

Würzburg (from Frankfurt) EB 611

Depart from Frankfurt with the Romantic Road Coach for a picturesque drive through the Spessart Mountains to Würzburg, located on the banks of the river Main.

After a short walk to the market square you may pick up your copy of a Würzburg guidebook at the tourist information in return for your voucher (on Saturdays, you are invited to join an English-guided city-tour instead, which takes you along the mayor points of interest). Later that day you will also join a guided inside tour of the Residenz, a beautiful baroque castle.

After you have gained some first impressions of the city of Würzburg, it is time for lunch. A short stroll down the road takes you to a local  Restaurant where lunch will be served.

The remaining day is free for own activities to explore Würzburg, a suggestion from us would be a boat trip on the river Main, or a wine degustation at one of the numerous winemakers in the city.

Your coach departs again from the main train station in Würzburg, reaching Frankfurt main train station at approximately 8 p.m.!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber (from Frankfurt) EB 615

Depart from Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the river Main. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg o.d.T., Germany’s well-preserved "Jewel of the Middle Ages" with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an altar by the famous wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider.

Upon arrival in Rothenburg, you have some free-time to explore the city or to do some shopping in some of the famous historic shops of the city. Around noon, you will have lunch at one of our partner restaurants. In the early afternoon, you join the city walk with a local guide showing you all the major sights of Rothenburg.

In the late afternoon your coach will leave from the city-square (Schrannenplatz) for your trip back to Frankfurt, where you arrive at approximately 8 p.m.!

Royal Castles Neuschwanstein (from Munich) EB 616

Depart Munich in the morning at 8:30 a.m. from bus stop opposite the main train station (in front of the department store KARSTADT). This trip shows you two extraordinary castles, both testifying to the vision of Bavaria’s fairytale King. Hidden in the seclusion of the mountains King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles: Neuschwanstein and Linderhof.

Short shopping stop in Oberammergau. Approximately 4 hours time to visit Neuschwanstein and for lunch (not included in the price).

At about 4:15 p.m. your coach leaves again for Munich, where the tour ends at approximately 7:00 p.m.!
