Itinerary 2015

DAY 1: 

Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Frankfurt

Start your tour with a regular diversified half-day trip to Heidelberg, the old university town at the banks of Neckar-River, including a visit of the inner courtyard of Heidelberg Castle and a lunchbox. After returning to Frankfurt, check-in at your hotel and the rest of the day is free for own activities.

Overnight at InterCityHotel or similar.

DAY 2:

Frankfurt - Rothenburg (B)

Depart from Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the river Main. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany’s well-preserved "Jewel of the Middle Ages" with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an altar by the famous wood-carver Tilmann Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the evening (or tomorrow early afternoon) you are invited to join the city walk with the historic Night Watchman in Rothenburg (or a local guide).

Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg / Goldene Rose or similar.

DAY 3:

Rothenburg - Munich (B)

After breakfast, a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen with high-gabled houses and cobbled-stone streets. Via Augsburg, a metropolis during the Roman times and famous for old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages, you reach Munich, where your tour ends in the late afternoon!

Reverse itinerary:

The tour ends in Frankfurt at approximately 3:30 p.m.!
